Michael A Globe – Senior Partner
Michael was admitted as a Solicitor in January 1960 having completed his Law Degree at Liverpool University and undertaken his articles at the old Liverpool practice of G J Lynskey & Sons, latterly Lynskey & Dunning. With the exception of a few years working in London soon after admission, he has worked exclusively in the City of Liverpool.
Michael was born, raised and educated in Liverpool and has seen tremendous changes to the city and is very excited by all the new developments presently transforming the City.
He continues to enjoy the challenges and variety of general private practice and although he has seen many changes in the profession in recent years, he is still as enthusiastic now as he was when he started work and still insists that traditional values of personal contact and quality service are maintained.
Michael’s main fields are the commercial and business areas of the practice as well as lifetime and post death tax planning and probate and administration of estates, but he is also available for consultation on all other aspects of legal work.
Michael still lives in South Liverpool and enjoys golf, the theatre, literature, music and travelling both nationally and internationally. He acts as Honorary Solicitor to various charitable and other organisations.
David was admitted as a Solicitor in August 1999 having spent 8 years working for several insurance companies, specialising in the negotiation and settlement of personal injury and household claims. During this time, he achieved his ACII (Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute) and in addition became a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
Having undertaken the Conversion Course and Legal Practice Course (passing with Commendation) at the College of Law in Chester he joined the practice in 1997 and under Michael’s guidance underwent his 2 year training contract.
He has introduced the latest technology into the practice and continues to ensure that these systems are current and up-to-date allowing the practice to compete in an ever-changing market and to service clients wherever they may be.
David has overseen the introduction of new management systems that achieved the Legal Aid Franchise Quality Assurance Standard (LAFQAS).
Outside work David is very involved in a national voluntary youth organisation being the local area Commander as well has having regional and national responsibilities. He also lives in South Liverpool and enjoys all sports especially, golf and football.
Sharon Foy – Conveyancing Manager
Sharon has been working for the practice for nearly 20 years. She started as a clerk to the conveyancing partner, but has now taken over the day to day management of the Domestic Conveyancing Department as well as the Probate Department.
She is directly involved in developing the practice’s own Home Information Pack (HIP), and in using the latest electronic aids in the conveyancing process designed to achieve efficiency and economy.
In addition to this Sharon is very involved with the partners in the day to day administration of the practice.
Sharon has lived in the area all her life and is very familiar with the local people and their needs.
After running her own practice, Ostrins, for a number of years Colette has joined the practice on a part time basis and has specific responsibility for family matters.
Colette is a member of the Law Society Personal Injury and Mental Health Panels.
Julian ran his own practice for many years before joining the practice in 2000 and retains the affection and loyalty of many clients who still consult him.
Julian is a Chairman of the Disability Living Allowance Tribunals and acts as solicitor to the Fazakerley Advice Centre.
